GLFA PICNIC
IFA members have been invited to the GLFA Picnic,
The picnic this year will again be on Andrus Island in the Rock River at Grand Detour, Illinois on September 11, 2010. GLFA was able to again reserve the whole island, and hope that all of you can come on Saturday or camp Friday and Saturday night. The campground opens at 7:30 in the morning, so come early and make a day of it. As usual, there is no charge for GLFA members or their immediate family if you bring a dish to pass ($10 with no food), and you do not have to be a member to attend the event. Please bring a dish to pass and a raffle donation if possible. The cost for non-GLFA members is $10 if you bring a dish to pass, or $15 with no food. GLFA will provide the burgers, brats, hot dogs, and soft drinks. There is a $15 per person per night camping charge if you stay over. If you have any questions, call a board member or officer of the club. This was a lot of fun last year and GLFA hopes that the picnic this year will be bigger and better. Families, dogs, and birds are welcome. Be sure to invite your friends. The boating and fishing is excellent. It is possible that the Mud Dogs Blues Band may jam Saturday night so bring your instrument.

GLFA will have a raffle, and a meeting to discuss the progress of our new Illinois Falconry Regulations, and Peregrine Take. GLFA hopes that all interested Illinois falconers will attend the meeting on the regs as it is a very important event for all falconers, whether they are GLFA members or not. We will follow up with a flyer. We repeat, this meeting is important to all falconers.
