On behalf of all the IFA officers, we want to thank everyone for coming to The 2008 IFA Summer Picnic & Raffle. It was a terrific event, with perhaps the best attendance ever.

The event was was both entertaining and educational, including a special presentation from guest speaker Steve Layman (Washington Falconer, raptor behaviorist and expert on advanced operant conditioning techniques)

Falconers from Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio enjoyed special camaraderie, good food, door prizes, vendor sales tables and a great raffle. It was also a special treat to visit with falconers from Germany and Italy. The monitored weathering yard showcased some beautiful falconry birds eager for the new season to begin.

A big thanks to our IFA workshop leaders including Laura Edmunds (Raptor Re-hydration techniques), Karl Shank (Bell Making), Dan Bloodgood (Hood Making) and Mark Booth (Braided Leash Making).
